About Rich

Rich Rector has served as Chairman and CEO of Realty Executives Phoenix since 1980 and as Chairman, President and CEO of Realty Executives International from 1984 through April 2014. In his position with the successful franchise, Rector is responsible for managing the strategic development and growth of the international company.

Four years after being named president, Rector purchased Realty Executives International from his father, Dale Rector, who founded the original Realty Executives franchise in Scottsdale, Arizona in 1965. Immediately, he launched an aggressive international franchise expansion, which ultimately led to the company’s incredible growth to more than 800 franchises in 10 countries.

Rector began his career in real estate in 1975 as a sales agent with Realty Executives in Phoenix having earned his real estate license in 1974. He earned his broker’s license in 1978.

Today, Rector still owns and operates the Realty Executives Phoenix brokerage in addition to being an owner and the President of the international franchise company, a rare leadership combination in the modern real estate industry.

Rector’s distinguished 35-year career in the real estate industry includes involvement with the following business organizations: World President’s Organization, The New England Financial Policyholders Advisory Board, The Executive Committee, Arizona Regional Multiple Listing Service Board of Directors and Director of the 1999 National Association of Realtors.

Rector has become involved in many community organizations as well, including Liberty Wildlife and Habitat for Humanity.

He graduated from Stanford University in 1975 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
